For :iconcomic-chic:'s 2012 fanartapalooza! I am endlessly thankful to Lora for extending the deadline; holiday travelling and school starting back up rather threw a monkey wrench in my progress on this certain thing, but at last I have a submission!

The theme for the contest is the second Dreamer graphic novel, which made it difficult to choose who and what to draw- so very many wonderful things happen between issues 7 and 12! However, Alexander Hamilton himself, my very favorite founding father (I would totes be a Federalist, were I a denizen of the late eighteenth century) makes an appearance, and we get a peek into protagonist Bea's past life between her interaction with A. Hams and the well-dressed Murray sisters. The section where Bea mentions dancing with Hamilton at a summer ball piqued my interest, and I had to explore it a bit further... see result above.

I would like to think that Bea asked dear, charming, working-class Alan Warren to her upper-crust party, and they had a lovely time, much to the chagrin of Beulah, Susannah, and co. However, I loved the Murray sisters in the comic- they were quite the adorable pair.

Drawn on the Wacom Ruby, in Photoshop Elements (I finally found its date of manufacture, this being 2001. Cripes.) with help from The Pogues, Fun., The Format, and a good many Power Ballads.

The characters (counterclockwise from left, Bea, Alan, Hamilton, Beulah, and Susannah, or is it Susannah and Beulah?) and their subsequent story belong to the infinitely gifted Lora Innes.

Aww, this is lovely! They look like they're having so much fun!

Ok, I take that back. Hamilton is having no fun at all!
